The best place to eat the best African and intercontinental dishes. Very fresh food delivered by friendly and professional staff.

I love the new location on Vanderbilt! Food is amazing, service is great, love the vibe, definitely the most fun spot on Vanderbilt. Great cocktails too!

Came in on a Sunday afternoon last February. The location is maybe a 10 minute walk from downtown Brooklyn. Great vibes! There was a small crowd of people at the bar, but the bartender quickly made space toward the end for me. I was getting over a cold so I had a bowl of the goat stew, along with a steak dish. Food was perfect, just the right amount of flavor and heat. I was sweating, but the food was on point. Also met the owner, who had spent some time in Chicago.

I'm just realizing that I never reviewed this restaurant. I absolutely love this spot. Their jollof rice is delicious. Add some oxtails and plantains and I'm so happy. It's unfortunate that since the pandemic, they have been experiencing some financial difficulties. I have mostly ordered via Ubereats but the few times that I've been there in person, the service has been great. Everyone is warm and professional. Very attentive. The ambiance and location are also great. It's not far from public transportation, the BQE and both the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridge. They currently have a gofundme going to help save the Black owned restaurant. You should immediately go check this spot out and donate to their gofundme https://www.gofundme.com/f/saving-amarachi-restaurant

This is an update from my preview review. I didn't realize I had visited this spot before. I came in last night for a late dinner with my friend. It was a really cool spot for singles. The music was definitely a vibe. Now for the food. It is AMAZING! The dinner menu is popping. I had ordered the goat pepper soup, and that soup was made by somebody's granddaddy that came to this country just to work in the kitchen. It is spicy, so it is not for the weak, but do take your time with it. No rush. I loved it. I just realized I didn't take a pic of my food. Wow! I must have been in the zone. Sorry but I did take pics of my app and my friend's meal.

I am only minus a point because the wait for the food was way too long, however everything came out hot and tasty. Dinner at Amarachi was delightful. If you want modern African food come to Amarachi right next to the Manhattan Bridge. The jollof rice was flavorful and spicy. I had the Shrimp Suya, which came with 7 pieces of shrimp and side salad. The other dish was oxtails and jollof rice and plantains, the oxtails were good. I prefer my plantains not as dry. There was a live DJ and hookah is available for $40. We had the Love 66 flavor which is a must try. For cocktails we had Dusse and Henny Sidecars. There is a time limit of 90 minutes but we were there way past that. The staff was very friendly and accommodating with everything.
